General Information for the 2025 Season
For 2025 we anticipate fielding four 14 & Under teams and three 16/18 teams. Because we are losing some coaches due to their daughters moving on to high school final decision on what we will be able to offer will be made in October. Availability of tournaments and gym time also affects how many teams we can have.

This form does not obligate players to participate or guarantee a spot on a team. It expresses your interest in participating and is a simple way for us to get the accurate information we need to streamline tryouts and register players for AAU, which is mandatory to participate.
Fees: 2025 Season Fee is $325 per player. (To be confirmed by October 2024)
Contact us via email at the bottom of this page if you have questions
Player’s fees help cover the expenses of uniforms, equipment, practice gym use, AAU membership/insurance, tournament entry fees and more. All administration and coaches
are volunteer and SDVA has local sponsorship from which allows us to keep the fees low.
Fees will be due the first week of December prior to uniforms being distributed. Payment arrangements can be made and other resources are available to help. Contact the SDVA Director for information after November 4th when practices start and a fee handout is distributed.
Why Play Club: During a regular Middle School season 8 to 10 opponents are played an average of 2 games per match. A general average is a total of 16-20 games played in 2 months. In the 2024 Club Season each SDVA team played a minimum of 98 games the top team played 114 total games in 2 ½ months. This on the court experience is invaluable to players skills and confidence.
Note Some Important Differences and Options: Club Volleyball is game centered. Practices work on individual skills but are mainly designed to progress personal and team improvement through play. SDVA only plays Local Club Volleyball. There are other Clubs in Central Oregon available for both Local & Travel Teams. SDVA generally plays more tournaments than other clubs and is partially sponsored so our fees are lower. We provide a similar experience as the other clubs but there are advantages and disadvantages to both.

SDVA is the only one currently in the south county area
Why in the Winter: Club is an off-season activity that allows players to progress via practice and tournaments. Teams try out by age (12 & under, 14u, etc.) practice two to three times a week and play all day tournaments on weekends. Club is a great learning experience for players and valuable for girls who would like to play High School Volleyball. The middle school regular season volleyball ends in October, camps and clinics are generally in the summer, so for young players to stay sharp and develop skills club is essential.
Tournaments: Typically, the 14U and 16/18 teams will play in eight or nine tournaments in December, January, February and early March. This is a LOCAL CLUB so tournaments are in Prineville, Bend, Redmond and Sisters. The tournament schedule isn’t available until Mid-December and will change into January. These events start at 7:30am and last all day. Transportation to and from tournaments will be the player’s responsibility and car pools are suggested.
